Salmon agreed to purchase the former Newsquest offices and associated printworks on Test Lane in October 2020.

Salmon completed all pre-purchase due diligence and obtained full planning permission for the site in December 2021 for a 155,000 sq ft industrial and logistics scheme across 3 units. Following demolition in 2023, construction began on site in 2023 and is due to be completed in Q2 2024.

The site is being built to BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC ‘A’ with a fabric first approach being taking to reducing carbon emissions reflecting Salmon and Royal London Asset Management’s commitments to ESG.
